Celibidache was and is right. "Listening to records is like making love to a photograph of Brigitte Bardot", he said. I would echo that by saying, "Listenning to CD's is like eating a same can food."
To those who admire Celibidache, let us encourage and support more live performances. I for one always bring a few friends to a performance, just as an example.

Yes, the Philadelphia Orchestra under Muti may have been unfortunate; however, I do suggest you to try them under the intelligent and powerful Wolfgang Sawallisch who found them a very fine concert master and replaced the principal viola, the principal base, the principal clarinet, the principal trumpet, and the principal trombone!
