I was a student of Celibidache's in 1984 and 1986, so I have decided to create a site on the Net. It is dedicated not so much to the adulation of a great man (though there are certainly some nice photos there), or the perpetuation of dogma, but instead to the prospect that what Celibidache taught should continue.
Presently this site is fairly sparse, with only the basic structure laid out so far. However, in the coming days it will contain copious notes from lessons, classes, and rehearsals, articles and remembrances from other students and friends of his, and a forum in which the inevitable controversy his ideas generate can be hashed out ad nauseum!
